- Abstract

Objective:
Analyzing the possible short-term change in mobility of the hip joint by
measuring the change of the internal and external rotations after osteopathic
manipulation of the uterus.
Methods:
It is a randomized trial with a control group and double-blind (Randomiced
Controlled Trial). N= 48 women, 22 women in the control group and 26 in the
experimental group. To the experimental group was applied a technique of
uterine mobilization. To the control group was applied a placebo exercise. It
was measured the changes of the internal and external rotation of both hips
with a digital inclinometer.
Results:
It has been observed a significant improvement in the total hip rotation (ART)
increase, the total rotation of the left hip (ARTI) and the internal rotation of
the left hip (ARII).
The statistical analysis was performed throught the Mann-Whitney U with a
significance level of P0.05.
Conclusion:
There was a relationship between the mobility of the uterus position and the
mobility of the hip joint. The study suggested the possibility that the
asymmetry in rotation’s increases may be linked to the asymmetry in the
uterine position. - Abstract

Objetivo:
Analizar el posible cambio a corto plazo en la movilidad de la articulación de
la cadera midiendo el cambio en la rotación interna y externa después de la
manipulación osteopática del útero.
Método:
Es un ensayo clínico aleatorio, con grupo control y a doble ciego. N=48
mujeres, 22 mujeres en el grupo control y 26 en el grupo experimental. Al
grupo experimental se aplicó una técnica de movilización uterina y al grupo
control un ejercicio placebo. Se midieron los cambios en las rotaciones
interna y externa de ambas caderas con un inclinómetro digital.
Resultado:
Se observó una mejora en el aumento significativo en la rotación total de
ambas caderas (ART), la rotación total de la cadera izquierda (ARTI) y la
rotación interna de la cadera izquierda (ARII).
El análisis estadístico se realizó a través de la U de Mann-Whitney con un
nivel de significación de p?0,05.
Conclusión:
Había una relación entre la movilidad uterina y la movilidad de la articulación
coxofemoral. El estudio sugería la posibilidad de que la asimetría en los
aumentos de rotación podía estar vinculada a la asimetría en la posición
