Introduction: Epicondylean tendinopathy (ET) is a disorder characterized by pain and mechanical hyperalgesia of the insertional area of the elongation muscles of the elbow. One of the therapeutic options to address these disorders is the treatment at the cervical zone and local manual therapy in the epicondyle area.Objective: This study aimed to provide scientific evidence to the osteopathic principles by quantifying the improvement of the chronic TE, with the application of the osteopathic manual treatment at the cervical level and the epicondyle region.
Methodology: A selection of participants was carried out using the inclusion and exclusion views and a total of 20 patients with chronic TE were obtained.
Results: The data showed that the treatment with osteopathic manual therapy in the case of EVA values decreased throughout the study independently of the group as well as the increase in PPT and PFM. The interaction of both factors did not have a statistically significant effect on any of the variables.
Conclusions: In the results of there are no statistically significant differences in the study between the two groups although there is an improvement in PPT and EVA in the patients who were applied to the HVT. - Abstract

Introducció: La tendinopatia epicondílea (TE) és un trastorn caracteritzat pel dolor i la hiperalgèsia mecànica de la zona insercional de la musculatura extensora del colze. Una de les opcions terapèutiques per abordar aquests trastorns és el tractament a nivell cervical i la teràpia manual local a la regió epicondílea.
Objectiu: Aquest estudi pretén aportar evidència científica als principis osteopàtics quantificant la millora de la TE crònica, amb l’aplicació del tractament manual osteopàtic a nivell cervical i de la regió epicondílea.
Metodologia: Es va dur a terme una selecció de participants mitjançant els criteris d’inclusió i exclusió i es va obtenir un total de 20 pacients amb TE crònica.
Resultats: Les dades van mostrar que el tractament amb teràpia manual osteopàtica en el cas de l’EVA els valors van disminuir al llarg de l’estudi independentment del grup així com l’augment en el PPT i PFM. La interacció d’ambdós factors no va presentar un efecte estadísticament significatiu en cap de les variables.
Conclusions: En els resultats de l'estudi no existeixen diferències estadísticament significatives entre els dos grups tot i que si que hi ha una millora del PPT i de l'EVA en els pacients que se'ls hi va aplicar la HVT. - presented at
