Introduction: irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is the most common functional disease among the functional problems of the gastrointestinal tract. The main objective of the present investigation has been to analyze the efficacy of a nutritional and supplementation treatment in conjunction with the osteopathic treatment, compared to a treatment based exclusively on nutrition and supplementation.
Methodology: for this, a simple controlled blind pilot study has been developed, consisting of the analysis of two groups of five people each undergoing a diet and supplementation osteopathic treatment, in comparison to a diet-based and supplementation treatment.
Results: There was an abrupt decrease in IBS values as soon as treatment began. At the end of the investigation, all participants had reduced this score by at least 60 points. A significant increase in quality of life measures was observed.
Conclusions: the intervention of nutritional treatment and supplementation in conjunction with osteopathic treatment significantly reduced IBS scores and improved the quality compared to the standard tendency. - Abstract

Introducción: el síndrome del intestino irritable (SII) es la enfermedad funcional más común entre los problemas funcionales del tracto gastrointestinal. El objetivo principal de la presente investigación ha sido el de analizar la eficacia de un tratamiento nutricional y de suplementación en conjunción con el tratamiento osteopático, en comparación con un tratamiento basado exclusivamente en la nutrición y la suplementación.
Metodología: para ello se ha desarrollado un estudio piloto simple ciego controlado, consistente en el análisis de dos grupos de cinco personas cada uno sometidos a un tratamiento osteopático dieta y suplementación, en comparación de un tratamiento basado en dieta y suplementación.
Resultados: Se produjo un descenso abrupto en los valores de SII apenas iniciado el tratamiento. al final de la investigación todos los participantes habían reducido este puntaje en mínimo 60 puntos. Se observó a su vez un aumento significativo en las medidas de calidad de vida.
Conclusiones: la intervención de tratamiento nutricional y de suplementación en conjunción con el tratamiento osteopático redujo significativamente las puntuaciones de SII y mejoró la calidad de en comparación con la tención estándar. - presented at
